Broken Social Scene is by far the best concert I've ever gone to. Their music flows to you in vibes and waves of love. Even at a seat furtherest away from them you could feel a very much personal set with them.
With links from song to song and little conversations in between there was an overwhelming desire to get up and just dance.
They even played my favourite songs "Super Connected", "KC Accidental", "I'm Still Your Fag", "Fire Eye'd Boy"
The band also managed to do their own version on 1 2 3 4 "Oh teenager!!" that still made Aliff and I want to go around running, prancing and dancing across the halls.
Though they did not manage to complete it since Kevin Drew forgot the lyrics.
The crowd was lovely. The ambience was great.
They said they would only stay for 30 minutes but they stayed till the last fan got an autograph and I was one of the last, at adds up to them staying for more than an hour or so. I made them sign my school's diary which has the "subculture" drawing on it to hide my school's huge ass logo and they liked it and said it looked cool.
Well Kevin Drew started drawing on the plastic cover as his own additions to the picture. Whatever it was a huge ego boost for me whether or not it was true it made one lucky fan happy.
I went home high on music and on air with BSS on replay while fantasizing with sleeping with them. WOO-HOO.
I have a sudden inspiration to give out a vibe of happiness I caught from them.
