Motherly instincts came when I got armed with a diaper bag full of tupper wear-ed food and a 4 feet rattan mat from Johor.
I wasn't impressed at first due to the view of Malaysia's polluting industry park (Not that Singapore's is less unsightly) however, we managed to drive in deeper to get a view of Pulau Serangoon. We stayed there to enjoy the fantastic weather, went cloud watching and snuggled.
I had my first challenge at driving a manual car. I got pretty freaked out since the clutch was pretty stiff and Arid didn't bother informing me that the clutch and accelerating pedal had to balance each other. So it roared and I dared not let go of the brake. I panicked and repeated "Help, help, help, HELP." So I moved about a foot, pretty good huh.
Arid rented a Citron Berlingo its cargo space is huge! Has a black leather seat for 3 so it was quite difficult to erase the idea of vehicular sex. Brings a new meaning to 'Jeepin'. It has also got some ladderish thing at the back of the driver's seat that Arid doesn't know what for. Nonetheless I swear it's Bang (Van) Bus, with some ingenuity and creativity you can assemble a mobile bondage swing in there.
Then we were off!
Went exploring at our favourite place, Seletar Airport; I like it so much cause it seems to be the most English inspired place. Then we ended the day off with watching the sunset at the Yishun Dam.
Our cashless and yet most romantic date since forever.
It's days like these when we look at each other, don't say a word but know we're in the best place to be at. When the simplest things that show the significant change since the shallow depths of dating. I love my man.
