Local Outsider
Did you know the number of foreigners on our land almost equate to the number of locals there are in Singapore? Of course I'm not going to make a big deal about that, I am grateful for the foreigners who have made vast contributions to our GDP.
Also, let us remember that we were once a small island sparsely populated until the introduction of the English rule, which brought in many from China, India and many other places.
The basis of Singapore seems to be building a nation out of many others, the locals now are after all majority foreigners of the past.
I wonder how our forefathers did it. I wonder if the Malays back then got annoyed by Mainland Chinese accents although they had nothing to compare it with. Of course there was a period of time when we had our little colonies among our own races but how exactly did we do it? How did we start living with each other so peacefully?
Today I don't understand how foreigners can come in and expect us to learn their language though.
English being our first language could be one grate contributor apart from sporadic bursts of giving and trying to make small talk with a completely different language.
How many times have you encountered a China-Chinese man who speaks to you in such strong diction, you first feel helpless and then frustrated. Top it off if you get some selfless bastard he's gonna tell you to learn Mandarin.
There was this incident at Caesars through the play of Mandarin words we managed to make a fool of the Chinese delegate but he still continued raving that he doesn't know English.
You come here shouldn't you learn the language? I bet if he went to Paris he's gonna get one hell of a French whooping if he babbles shit, let alone he would really have to "excuse their French".
Until the day you become a localoutsider, fuck you.

Zoom Zoom HHZ
Original plan was to go to Home club for it's Christmas give back which meant free-flow drinks from 10-1AM until we got there and was just utterly disappointed with the crowd. It felt like a revisit back to 5 years ago when punk was prominent along the short waves of the gig-mosphere excitement. There's a giant crowd of scene kids outside but no one on the dance floor. That is very very sad.
Met a few friends of ours there so we said hi and made a little small talk before we moved off to Helipad. We got in free thanks to Cel being the ex-door bitch. And we had a lot of fun, a lot of sarong fly. That made me a very very happy girl. We also had the whole floor to ourselves and surprisingly although it wasn't crowded - or rather had even enough people for it to be a party - I had a lot of fun there just being with the 3 of us. Plus the smoking room wasn't far out and you wouldn't have to dodge a lot of people to get there.
Left Helipad about 2ish to get my bag that was still in Home's baggage and had a huge quarrel with Cal. At that point I was frustrated about trust but to this point sober and blogging I shouldn't have gotten THAT angry, valid cause to be angry just not to that extent I guess.
I see that I still have a lot of subconscious issues I cannot put down with from the turn of events that happened yesterday. It's not as easy as people think it is.
Zoomed off to Zouk and then went home. I can't remember much, too much alcohol less processing.

Christmas At Caesars
Sometimes I think working on a public holiday is the best way to spend it. Don't have to figure out what to do, don't have to be stuck with the crowd, don't have to worry about how to get home, don't have to worry about the money needed. All this whilst getting paid. It is pretty okay isn't it? Plus you get at least 1.5times of your regular basic pay, on top of that you won't feel lonely!
I always used to hate the end of the year it's the loneliest time in 12 months.
